Festive T2 Classics: Lady Esmerelda’s Ultimate Dream Dictionary

Look at these stack of books:

Doesn’t one of them look different from the rest?

That’s because it’s tea!!

My manager got me this for Christmas, along with a T2 teapot and I couldn’t wait to try it out!

(Please note all the exclamation points that denote excitement)

This fruit tisane is made of apple, rosehip, chamomile, lemon balm, lavendar, and many more ingredients. This is the description:

“Dreamers, uncover the mysteries of the pictures that dance before your eyes after lights out. Is it pretty violas and roses that float through the ether? Maybe the sweet scent of apples and apricots lulling you into a dream state? Whatever presents for you, Lady Esmerelda is well versed in the language of the sleep scape”

The tea is gorgeous. It looks like a garden, even after it’s brewed. And as you can see, there’s a list of dream interpretations at the side, some of them connected to the ingredients in the tisane.

By the way, I am completely in love with this T2 Teamaker! I first encountered it at a tea party, when a friend brought it along. We were all lining up to take turns using it because there’s no spout! I was so surprised (and happy) when I got this for Christmas.

We also have one in the office right now, and I hate to say it but I like it even more than the Dr Drinks machine. Both are equally convenient (sort of), but this one is quiet and easier to clean. The only thing the Dr Drinks machine has going for it is that the leaves don’t really steep in the water between cups (although the infusion is a lot stronger if you leave it for some time).

How it Tastes

The tea smells fruity, but the taste is more floral than fruity, although I can taste the apple notes, since the lavender and rose notes were the most prominent. It’s quite sweet, but there’s a bitter tinge that gets more pronounced the longer the tea steeps – I think it’s from the lavender? The lavender and rose notes also get stronger the longer it steeps.

Overall, this isn’t really a bedtime tea for me, but that’s mostly because of the very strong floral scent and taste. That, and I prefer to have my bedtime teas be a little more subdued. To me, it’s more for the day, when you want something flavourful but don’t want anything with caffeine.

  1. What a nice gift! I love the box the tea comes in. My husband is a tea drinker. I don’t really drink it unless I am sick.

  2. I don’t drink coffee either. At least I can stomach tea on occasion, but never coffee. Not even mocha ice cream.

    1. I love the packaging too!! This was a gift and apparently, the book part was what made them think of me (my friends know me well 😊)

What do you think?
