It is 9:30 pm and I am still working because I’ve been drowning in work for the past three days. The last time I was this busy, we were preparing for the Singapore Tea Festival. And because the work suddenly became insane (partly because I underestimated it), I haven’t had time to schedule a few book reviews to be posted.
Although I’ll probably be working tomorrow, I can see the end of the tunnel of work which is why I’m taking a bit of a breather to write this post. I finally got my laptop back and managed to do a clean install of the OS, so it’s finally working again (still slow, but slightly better than before the whole mess started)
As for my data, I’m happy to report that ALL my writing docs have been recovered!!! And not only that – I think most of my data has been saved. The only thing that I can’t find are my photos, but I’ve got most of them backed up in Google Photos so it’s not a big deal if I lose them. I heaved such a huge sigh of relief when I saw the files – it was definitely money well-spent!
And of course, everything is backed up (a few times), so even if my laptop crashes again, I should be fine. As long as I remember not to panic.
(Now back to work)
