One Month of Nice in Photos

It feels like I just arrived in Nice, but one month has already passed! And because I just got some Gudak photos (I bought the app so now I try to use it when I remember), I thought it would be fun to revisit the past month through the photos.

These two photos are of the park near the Church! It took me a while to get used to the tram timings (I was very late the first week, so I pivoted to being very early the next) and I found this to be a peaceful spot where I could just sit for a while.

The first two pictures here are from the boat on the way to the team-building trip on Île Saint-Honorat and the rest of the pictures are of the island. It’s interesting to think about what a month can mean – it’s passed by very quickly, but I also feel like I’ve gotten to know my fellow students a lot better after only a month!

Speaking of my schoolmates, here’s a picture of one of the views from my school! The other side faces the airport and I should really get a photo of the planes next time!

This is a picture of Garibaldi Square – I’ve not really been to this part of Nice, but the bus to Eze starts from a bus stop nearby! Honestly, that day trip was such a fun experience and I’m actually using the perfume I bought (something which I didn’t really think would happen).

The rest of the pictures are of Old Nie (and Cours Saleya, in particular), and you can probably tell that I really like visiting there. I bought teacups soon after arriving in France at Cours Saleya, and have visited a few times since then (such as during the European Heritage Days).

The little cart in the photo is used to deliver Socca to Chez Teresa’s stand in Cour Saleya. It’s apparently the oldest Socca shop and the socca there is delicious!

I didn’t think I used the Gudak app all that much, but turns out this is pretty representative of the month I’ve had!

    1. Haha Eze is a pretty nice place though! Although I have to admit that Saint Paul de Vence has similar vibes (will be posting pictures from there soon!)

  1. Great photos. Whenever I think of Nice, I think “Beach,” since my wife’s cousin always sends us photos from the beach or nearby. So, you have given me a new appreciation of the town and the surrounding area.

I would be interested to know more about your classes and the curriculum at school since it appears to be a shorter program than MBAs in the states. All the classes are in English, right? Send me an email if that is inappropriate for this blog.

    Enjoy your time in France!

    1. I find the beaches here so interesting because they’re made of rocks instead of sand!

My program is definitely shorter than most programs in the States, since I finish in 10 months! Currently, I’m doing all the core courses, and next year, I’ll have my electives, one month of a specialisation track, and then the final project! So it’s all packed fairly tightly.

What do you think?
