End of Year Book Tag

Abi of Pellinor tagged me in the End of Year Book Tag and it looked nice and short (and unintimidating) so I decided to give it a go!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Nope! I finished rereading The Tale of Genji in July (I’m honestly still really proud of the beginner’s guide I wrote on it) so I have no big books left to read.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition you into the end of the year?

Nope again! Singapore doesn’t have four seasons and even though Nice does, I didn’t bring any books over with me. I might pick something from the TBR stack, but then again, I might not. It depends on my mood.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Unfortunately, my TBR list is so long and constantly growing that I don’t have the energy to keep up with new books.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

Skulduggery Pleasant Book 2 for sure! And if it’s possible, I want to start on the Oddmire – I remember Em from The Geeky Jock talking about it some time ago and it sounds like a fun read. There’s no third book that immediately comes to mind, but I definitely want to check off a few books from the TBR list just so it’s slightly less unmanageable.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

I honestly can’t remember a lot of what’s on my TBR list so nope, not that I know of.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2022?

I’ve got absolutely no plans, apart from the fact that I will be mainly reading on my Kobo for the rest of this year and most of next because buying physical books can get very expensive.

Since I’ve got more unanswered tags than I do answered tags, I won’t add this to anyone’s to-do list! But if you think this sounds fun, please give it a go!

  1. 🙌🏻 I am here for the Oddmire! – which, actually makes a rather autumnal book choice. I don’t think (?) it takes place in the fall …. But there are lots of goblins! It’s good for Hallowe’en! 😁

What do you think?
