Is anyone else not ready for the end of year roundup posts?

Because looking at my blog feed, I feel like I’m the only one who’s not ready!

I’m definitely planning to write about my favourite books of the year, a year-in-review for tea, and the half-year podcast roundup, the Skulduggery Pleasant tag, and I kind of want to do a general life update post but I’ve not started on anything… oops?

School has been pretty intense and given that I’ve still got 3 take-home final assignments/exams due and a video I promised to edit for the Diversity & Social Impact club, I feel like I’m not spending enough time reading, let alone writing, blogging, and Instagram (I’m seriously considering taking a hiatus on Instagram but yet I’ve signed up for some author TikTok challenge so clearly I like to bite off more than I can chew).

Oh well, my holidays have started (or so my schedule says) so hopefully I have time to do everything that I’m planning to do. I’m going to take a week off from the 24th onwards, so all I need to do is write and schedule everything by then (I say, as though it’s easy).

If anyone has some spare time, please send it my way (; And to end the post on a lighter note, here’s a picture of the nativity scene at Church this morning:

  1. Beautiful photo! I still don’t understand how you do all that you do. If I had some extra time, I would wrap it and send it to you as a Christmas present in exchange for loaning me some of your energy and self-discipline! Good luck on your finals. I have confidence that you will do well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Enjoy your week off!

    1. Thank you! I’m not too sure how I’m doing everything too haha

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family too!

    1. Thank you! Luckily they are take home exams so it’s not so bad, but it’s still work to do haha.

Looking forward to your posts! I saw someone talk about whether books on their TBR lived up to expectations and that could be fun to write!

  2. Beautiful building!
I don’t do end of year round-ups, I just forge ahead. In case you need it, I hereby give you permission to do the same.
Hang in there! I pray you feel a special sense of peace, are able to get some rest, and are able to prioritize without unnecessary guilt this holiday season.

  3. Lovely photo, and fingers crossed for your exams — though I have no doubt you‘ll do brilliantly.

And I totally feel you about not being ready for the big yearly wrap-up …

  4. I know how you feel. I’ve barely been managing to squeeze in some blogging time these days.
No need to force yourself to rush to do those wrap ups. You can post them whenever. Some folks even do so after January. So no rush.

What do you think?
