Hello friends!
Tomorrow morning, I leave on the last school trip in the program, but before I leave, I wanted to post about the three books I bought in my trip to the UK last month. I think I had a lot of self-control in this trip because I only bought three books:
From Conwy:
- Snowdonia Folk Tales by Eric Maddern – I cannot resist fairy tales, as you know, so I picked this up! I don’t have any books about Welsh folk tales (as far as I know) so this will be a great addition to my library!
- Welsh Country Puddings and Pies by Bobby Freeman – I’m not sure if I’ll ever make any of these recipes, but the book is pretty small and ute and I like baking so I got this just in case I ever want to make a pudding or pie.
From Manchester:
- Five Go Parenting – I saw Abi review another one of these Famous Five Parodies so when I saw this at Paramount Books, I could not resist picking it up! Paramount Books is a lovely store, by the way! We visited this store in 2017 and it made such a great impression that we were determined to visit it this time too!
And that’s about it! I’m not sure if I’ll be posting during the trip, so see you around (:
These look so fun!
Yes, I’m so excited to read them!
Wait how did I miss this? When were you in Manchester?! I was there yesterday!! And I hope that you enjoy the Famous Five parody!!!
Honestly idk how you managed to only get 3 books hahaha, but I think you did well! Especially with two of those being Welsh!
Haha I was there at the end of March, it just took me a looooong time to write the post :p
Yeah, I’m pretty proud of my self restraint this time hahaha I bought wayyy more books on normal trips (tbf, I had like zero check-in luggage so things had to be very minimal. Or I would have gone wild with books)
luggage restraints are evil… but very helpful to the shelves haha
If you ever make a pudding or a pie from the book, you need a follow up post! Your avid readers must know how this turns out! 😀
Fingers crossed I do so when I move back and have ready access to an oven again!!
