Tea Discussion Post: Do You Have a Tea Routine at Work?

One thing I quickly noticed when I started my new job was that my tea drinking habits had to change. When I was working on my thesis full time (and when I was working from home), I used to drink my tea in the morning over the course of two to three hours. I’d normally be doing some work while drinking, so each new cup of tea was a good time for a small break and to stand and stretch.

However, since I’ve started my new job, the only time I have to drink tea on the weekdays is in the morning before I leave for work. As you can imagine, that only gives me enough time for one cup of tea, maybe two if I can drink fast. I’ve not yet settled in my office enough to have tea things (also, I lost all my office teaware) and I can’t have caffeine in the evening, so it’s morning or nothing.

I’m thinking about cold brewing tea to bring to work, but I’m curious to hear about what others do! Do you have tea breaks? What kind of tea do you normally drink in the office? I’m all ears since I’m trying to come up with a new and sustainable routine!

  1. I do coffee breaks instead, but I definitely take coffee breaks during work! It’s important to step away from your desk whilst at work, the same as when you’re studying, and if you’re in the office rather than at home it can be a nice time to socialise with your colleagues

What do you think?
