Hi friends!
It’s time for my second course review and I’m glad that this is coming out a week after my review of Self-Publishing 101 because I would have felt rather weird to have procrastinated on reviewing a course designed to stop you from procrastinating. So let’s dive in.
What is 15 Minute Magic about?
15 Minute Magic is a three-month course consisting of daily prompts for creative people trying to run/start their own business. Each prompt, which was sent via email and whatsapp, is meant to help you take action within 15 minutes, making sure that you do consistent work on your business every day. Examples of prompts I received include:
- Creating a media kit
- Sending pitches
- Creating standard responses for emails
- Coming up with and creating a lead magnet (this was spread over several days – one day for brainstorming, one day for creating, etc)
- Pep talks (in the form of audio files)
As you can see, most of these tasks are some of the easiest things you can procrastinate on. For example, I never had a media kit until I did the course, nor did I have a newsletter lead magnet that wasn’t a free book.
Apart from the prompts, the course also included three monthly postcards, weekly co-working sessions (basically, everyone logged on at the same time and worked on something for half an hour) and a community on Mighty Networks.
My Thoughts on 15 Minute Magic
Honestly, I loved this. I have procrastination issues and this helped me to be so productive. Some of the prompts were things that I knew I should be doing but never did, while others were things I didn’t even think of. In terms of tangible results, this ‘course’ probably gave me the most.
However, unlike most other courses, you don’t get recurring access to this – if I remember correctly, there is a slight discount for returning students/members, but otherwise, if you want to continue 15 Minute Magic after three months, you’ll have to pay. Access to the Might Networks group is still available, but the last activity was 5 months ago, so there isn’t much going on in terms of post-course support.
Who Should Do This
If you’re the sort of person that requires daily reminders on what to do, or you’re looking for some structure as you start a creative business, this might be something that would benefit you.
Basically, if you are completely lost and/or a procrastinator, 15 Minute Magic could be something that helps you.
Who Shouldn’t Do This
If you already have a list of things to do and you’re the type of person that will be doing them anyway, then you don’t need this.
Alternatively, if you’re a procrastinator AND you have a specific task you’re procrastinating on (e.g. editing a book), then this might not be the solution because you’ll be getting other prompts instead of being reminded to work on what you need to be doing.
The Free Alternatives
If you would like to experience something like 15 Minute Magic but you don’t want to pay money for it, this is what you have to do:
- Make a list of all the things you need to do
- Go into your calendar and create daily events with alerts to prompt you. If you can schedule emails to yourself, do that too.
If you’d like to get examples of the prompts, you can find some of them on this page.
Anyway, as a result of writing this review, I have been motivated to set prompts for the next week or so. Hopefully this helps me finish editing that influencer zombie novel that’s been stuck in the editing zone.
Stay tuned next week for another course review!

Honestly if something isn’t right in front of me I will 100% forget about it’s existence haha, so productivity is a struggle for me. This sounds great!
IRK? I need constant alerts from my calendar to remind me to do things :p
