As Christmas approaches, I find that I want to read something cosy, like the Fairacre series by Miss Read. The next book in the series is Book 4 – Miss Clare Remembers – but for some reason, the library only has the copy where it’s bundled together with Book 8 – Emily Davis. Miss Clare… Read More Miss Clare Remembers & Emily Davis by Miss Read
Before we went on our trip last year, 10 days in England sounded like plenty to me. Storm in the Village, the third book in the series, has the whole village of Fairacre grappling with the news that a new estate may be built… Read More Storm in the Village by Miss Read
I heard about this book when Wendy from Literary Feline posted about it. I love faerie stories and I’m pretty fond of historical fiction too, so this book grabbed my attention right away. When I found out that it was available from the library, I knew I was going to read it. Midnight Never Come… Read More Midnight Never Come by Marie Brennan
