This is one of the teas that I got from Lupicia’s tea marche when I was in Japan (I miss the tea marches and Lupicia). I’ve been waiting for a special occasion to drink it and the Dayre Tea party was the perfect time!
According to the description on the bag, this tea was made with a freshly baked caramel cookie in mind. True enough, the tea smelt and tasted like a cookie. However, the taste of caramel was stronger than the taste of almond, although the taste of almond becomes a little stronger in the cold brewed version. Everyone at the party really enjoyed this tea, so I think it would be a good tea to share with others.
Lupicia recommends steeping the tea for two to two and a half minutes (using 150ml of hot water). They also recommend adding milk to enhance the sweetness of the tea – I haven’t tried that, but I can believe it.
