Today has been a dreary kind of day, ending in a light drizzle. I hope that the people celebrating Deepavali/Diwali aren’t inconvenienced by it.
For me, I woke up with a really bad cough and I’ve been sniffling the whole day. Luckily, today is a public holiday – can’t think how I’d get through work!
On the bright side, I received my Ghibli teas yesterday!!
Normally, I’d wait until after I’ve tried the teas to post them here, but these are just so beautiful that I can’t bear not to share! Expect photo spam of the teas + tins during the actual review post. I’d have tried them today, but I’m not allowed caffeine until my cough is better ):
I also received my Kiki watch yesterday!
This watch is from the Alba X Ghibli tie up! And I didn’t know this until the news about the watches broke, but apparently, Alba is a spinoff brand from Seiko. I was probably the last person in the world to realise this.
I really love everything about this watch, from the little stones for time and to the colour of the strap. I was a little conflicted about which watch to get when my friend messaged me that SHE FOUND THE WATCHES!!! but somehow, I managed to make a decision.
To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to be able to buy this. They’re available only in Japan (as far as I can tell), and I couldn’t even find a purchase button on the Alba website. Luckily, one of my tea-loving friends went to Japan and she managed to find the watch and the teas!! Thanks so much, J!!
The back of the watch is incredibly cute too!
Apparently, limited numbers of the watch are available at Donguri Kyowakoku, the official Ghibli merchandise shop, so if you’re a Totoro and/or Kiki fan like me, be sure to keep an eye out for these cuties!
OH THE WATCH SO CUTE!!! Glad you manage to find someone who was so sweet to bring it back for you!
Yes! I was super lucky that my friend was traveling to Japan (and that she found it)!
