My 3 Favourite French Supermarket Snacks

I recently read this blog post about the readymade desserts that you can find in French supermarkets, and it not only inspired me to try the desserts in the post, but it also inspired me to write about my three favourite snacks that I’ve discovered since I moved to Nice! I don’t actually know if these are exclusive to France, but I did find them in the supermarkets here (either Casino or Carrefour) and as far as I know, I’ve not seen them in Singapore

Kinder Choco Fresh

The Kinder Choco Fresh is the first snack that I bought here and my favourite snack so far! I’ve been recommending it to everyone in school as well and pretty much everyone loves it, so it’s something that I’ll always recommend. If you like Kinder Bueno, you’ll love Choco Fresh – the hazelnut filling is still there, but now there’s chilled cream on top of the hazelnut filling and the whole thing is held together by a layer of chocolate.

It’s amazing and I cannot recommend this enough

Lotus Biscuit Sandwich

Lotus biscuit/speculoos are fairly common in Singapore, but I don’t think I’ve seen this biscuit sandwich before! It’s basically the lotus biscuit sandwich with either a vanilla or chocolate filling. I personally prefer the chocolate filling, but I also know people who love the vanilla filling so if you’re buying this, you might as well buy both flavours to compare.

Cadbury chocolate cookie with Oreo Filling

I ate a lot of Cadbury chocolate and Oreos as a kid so this cookie is basically a combination of my childhood snacks. It’s a crispy, extremely chocolatey cookie with generous oreo cream filling inside. It’s very rich but also strangely addictive and when I have a packet of this open, I can’t stop eating it.

Bonus: Nutella Biscuit

Ok, this shouldn’t be on the list because I think someone mentioned that they’ve seen it somewhere in Singapore, but I haven’t seen it and I love it so it deserves a mention. The biscuit alone is pretty nice (I thought it would be a thin wafer but it’s a solid cookie) and there’s a lot of Nutella in this! It’s extremely satisfying and I can’t decide if I like it better at room temperature (so the Nutella is gooey) or chilled (so the Nutella is firm).

And here you have it, my favourite snacks so far! If you have a particular snack to recommend, please let me know because I will definitely try that.

    1. Haha I’ve been looking at a UK IG snack account called “kevssnackreviews” and I would like to lodge a counter official complaint about all the cool snacks you guys have!

  1. These all look so good, I love Kinder chocolate. Have you had Prince? They’re cookies that have chocolate in the middle and they’re really addicting!

What do you think?
