Tea Review: Lullaby by Hebden Tea

This was a tea that I didn’t intend to buy. I pretty much exhausted my budget for tea at Twinings and buying Kinettles Gold (mostly because I bought Kinettles Gold). But as we were wandering around the Shambles, our eyes were caught by the free tea samples and one sip of this left us hooked.

It took quite some time to get to this, mostly because I didn’t really feel like I could open another tisane with so much Lady Esmerelda’s Ultimate Dream Dictionary left. But I have succumbed and opened yet another packet of tea, to my family’s chagrin.

This is how the tea describes itself on the packet:

Colourful caffeine-free calming infusion. A combination of beautiful blossoms and petals with a light cherry and raspberry flavouring.

Compared to the Lady Esmeralda, Lullaby doesn’t really look like a garden. But it also smells fruity and reminds me of candy.

The tea is pretty brown but it tastes like it smells: pleasantly tart. There’s also a subtle floral note, which I appreciate because I cannot drink too much of overly floral teas.

As soon as we drank this, we remembered why we bought it. I also had a pretty quick browse through Hebden Tea Shop, but sadly forgot to take pictures! From what I remember, the selection is pretty great and I hope to stumble across another branch in the future so that I can try more of their teas!
